Crowded

The piece explores the notion of personal space in public places and the subtle, and not so subtle ways people react to each other in crowds. Through the use of intricate gestures and body language, large sweeping movement, and humorous anecdotes, the piece explores the dance done to maneuver through a crowd.

Choreography: Rebekah Chappell in collaboration with the dancers

Dancers: Diane Cahill Bedford, Jamie Gonzaba, Ashley Horn, Prudence Sun, and Jamie Zahradnik

Commissioned by The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center for Dance Month: Houston Choreographers X6

Premiered: January 25, 2014 at Kaplan Theatre, Houston, TX
