Today I had fun playing with the the light coming in through the window. After that it was all floor. I am not very comfortable on the floor and moving at a low level- I find myself doing the same thing every time. I need to make the effort to spend more time with my base of support something other than my feet.

Fast forward x4. I played around with using the architecture of the room- specifically the crown moldings and corner of the space. The second video you see was my warm up. I played around with repetitive or fussy movement. I then tried to work on moving only one body part at a time. I am stilling playing with timing. My natural impulse is to flow movement one into the other- I am trying to find stops and pauses- at beginnings and endings, and in the middle- interrupting and finding a new path. I also love repetition. Repetition feels so good to do- its therapy- moving again and again and again until it has no more meaning or until I can let it go or until I am ready to begin again. It also allows me to explore what a movement can become, finding smooth pathways, and letting the movement really resonate in whole body. At Claire School of Dance.
