Day 85

Our bodies have meaning.  Our bodies carry meaning.  Our bodies tell.  Our bodies share.  Our bodies communicate.  Dance is being aware and making choices on how to communicate with our bodies.  What am I saying when I move like this?  Embodiment.  How we feel changes the way we walk, sit, stand, and move.  Today I was playing with two opposite movement ideas- folding into the body (specifically the shoulders and arms) and the lifting of the sternum to the ceiling.  Opening and closing.  Those very words carry so much meaning in life and motion.
