The Idea

This was to be the year of improvisation. Back when New Year's Resolutions came around, I decided to pursue a year of daily improvised dance sessions. I would take 10-15 minutes to dance wherever and however I saw fit- following whatever impulses I had that day.  Well, daily became weekly which then became occasionally.  After a long hiatus, I decided to restart again with my proposal for Big Range Dance Festival.  The idea had evolved- I would now use video taped improvisation as a tool to generate choreography.  Big Range is almost here, and I still feel the impulse to improv.  So I have decided again....I am going to commit myself to make a habit of improvisation.  365 days.  But this time, I am going to keep myself accountable. One recorded and then posted session a day.  No other rules.  Let's see where it takes me!
